Houdini is an adult, male, eastern box turtle.  He is a shy little guy who enjoys his sun but usually from a nice shady spot.  He was found wander around outside and DuPage Animal Control was called.  When they couldn't find his owner our foster home picked him up.  He got checked up by their vet and was a little underweight, and has some damage to his shell.  He is getting all the food he needs and extra soaks and seems to be doing great.  He got his name because minutes after he was put in his enclosure at his new foster home he escaped, luckily into a raised garden bed which is now his favorite place to hang out when outside (closely supervised now).  He is a full grown male (they are around 5-7inches), but we are not sure on his age.  They can live 40-50 years and usually reach their full size by age 4-6 years old.

His adoption is $100
