Bill and Ted are about 1-2 yr old quaker parrots (or quaker parakeets, monk parrots, monk parakeets), their gender is unknown but they have very silly personalities so the names fit. They love to "talk" to you, when you go up to their cage and talk to them they are always talking over each other and so we are working on words. They came in when their owner could no longer afford to take care of them and meet their needs. They don't seem to mind the dogs, cats, and kids in their foster home but they interact from the safety of their cage. They are very territorial of their cage (very common for quakers) and Bill is not really hand tamed yet but once out of the cage he is easier to handle. Ted is quite friendly, again a little nippy in his cage but once out he will hang with you on your shoulder and loves attention. Although Bill is very protective of him so it's hard to get to Ted. Quaker parrots live for a long time, 20-30 years plus. They can be great talkers but also need a lot of attention and are very playful. They are fed a base of pellets and we keep trying different fruits and veggies as well for a good healthy variety. These guys are bonded and must stay together. They have also seen a vet and got a clean bill of health.
Their adoption fee is $600 for the pair
