Sammy is a very sweet and affectionate old man. At least that is what we suspect, he came to animal control as a stray and as soon as he was off stray hold they asked us to grab him because he needed to see a vet. His poor feet are quite puffy and he is a little clumsy with perching. The vet suspects that he is an older gentleman, at least 10 yrs old. He had bloodwork which showed his organs are fine but he did have an infection. He has finished his antibiotics and seems to be a very happy guy. He is hand tamed and loves to hang out with you and just chill on your chest. He is a very calm guy as well and while he will chirp he is relatively quiet. He has a good appetite, currently on zupreem fruit blend. He does better with rope perches and thicker perches. He really loves being around other cockatiels and would do best in a home with another bird. His foster home has cats, dogs, and little kids. He doesn't mind them but would love a quieter home (the disinterested dogs and cats he is great with, the kitten and toddler...not so much).
His adoption fee is $100
